Jordanian opposition stands against the government over relations with Israel
Jordan-Israel, Politics, 4/3/2002

The secretary general of the Islamic Labor Front in Jordan, Abdul Latif Arabeyat has stated in an interview with the Monte Carlo radio on Tuesday " we do not hold identical views with the Jordanian government that protecting the occupied territories and the Palestinians as well as Jordan requires having a firm stand and not expelling the Israeli ambassador under the pretext of keeping a diplomatic channel opened with the Jews."

He added we do not agree with that and we see that seeing the "Zionists " with us, under these conditions, is a thing which we do not accept, noting that "dialogue and contacts with those Jews are useless."

He added that the Israelis are those who eliminated the peace process and expelled the Palestinians. He added it is total ignorance and weakness to stay hand tightened and wait for what our enemy will do. "We have," he added "to choose a new clear strategy. It is one strategy which is resistance, and every body has to understand this fact."
