Human rights group takes note of European Union's failure to adopt practical position on Palestinian issue

The Moroccan Human Rights Association (OMDH) takes note of the European Union's failure to adopt a practical position vis-a-vis the Palestinian cause, despite its principle support to a peaceful and fair settlement, and expressed astonishment at the EU president's stance which contradicts the Union's previous ones.

The OMDH national council said Sunday "Israel's collective massacres against the unarmed Palestinians, on grounds of self-defense and terrorism fighting, are merely a plan to deny the Palestinian people its right to struggle against occupation."

Aggressions perpetrated by the Israeli forces, backed by the United States, against the Palestinians are a flagrant abuse of international agreements and resolutions, and humanitarian provisions of the international law, OMDH says.

The council expressed its solidarity with and support to the Palestinian people, and stressed their inalienable right to struggle against occupation. It also strongly condemned the criminal acts of the Israeli forces against the unarmed Palestinians and their legitimate leader, president Yasser Arafat.
