Sheikh Fadlullah justifies martyrdom operations for women
Lebanon-Palestine, Politics, 4/2/2002

Lebanese scholar Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah had a "Fatwa" which provides for justifying the Palestinian woman to carry out "martyrdom operations" against the Israeli forces in order to make a new history and a glorious history for the Arab and Muslim woman.

In a seminar he held on Monday, Fadlullah said that:" Islam has licensed the woman to fight especially if necessities of a defense war requires women's participation in any ordinary military operation or a 'Martyrdom' operation."

Fadlullah held the American administration responsible for what is taking place in Palestine and called on Muslim scholars to be one voice into imposing American commodity boycott.

He stressed that the operation carried out by the Lebanese national resistance two days ago in the occupied Shebaa farms was a message of love for the Palestinians.
