Tlass confers with Saudi environment minister

Syrian deputy commander in chief of the army and armed force, deputy premier and defense minister Lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass on Monday in Damascus met with the delegation of the Arab environment conference, currently held in Damascus, chaired by prince Turkey Bin Nasser Bin Abdul Aziz, the director general of meteorology and environment protection in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi ambassador in Damascus attended the meeting.
Talks dealt with Syria's commitment to resolutions taken by international conferences which provide for preserving environment in general and the Ozone layer, in particular.
Talks also dealt with the role played by the armed forces in ensuring environment protection and safety.
