Egyptian exports to Canada increased by 20 per cent

Canadian Minister of International Trade Pierre Pettigrew extended an invitation to Minister of Foreign Trade Youssef Boutros Ghali to visit Canada to attend the five-day real estate investment exhibition and forum, to start in Montreal Thursday.
Al-Sa'eed Qassem, First Undersecretary of Foreign Trade and Head of the Trade Representation Agency, said yesterday that this exhibition and forum, which is organized by the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), will promote investments in this sector in Egypt.
Despite the world incidents and their impact on the economic atmosphere all over the world, the year 2001 witnessed a rise in trade exchange between Egypt and Canada, said Qassem.
Egypt's exports to Canada grew by 20 per cent, said Qassem.
