Egypt denies British daily report on Arafat

The Middle East News Agency has denied what was published by the British daily "The Independent" on Sunday of information that the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak had proposed to the chairman of the Palestinian territories Yasser Arafat, sending a helicopter to transport him to Cairo with American guarantees.
The agency quoted sources described as responsible in Cairo that these information are groundless, null and void.
