Hariri discusses with Palestinian delegation tense situation in Palestine

Lebanon's prime minister Rafiq al- Hariri yesterday in Beirut discussed with members of the Palestinian delegation which took part at the deliberations of the Beirut's Arab summit concluded on Thursday the tense situation in the Palestinian territories. Following the Israeli invasion of Ramullah city in the West Bank and the headquarters of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat.
The Palestinian official in charge of planning and international cooperation Nabil Shaath said in a statement following the meeting that the steadfast Palestinian people "will resist by all means this Israeli brutal onslaught and is no more terrified by the Israeli army and tanks."
Shaath said that during the meeting, al-Hariri phoned the French President Jacque Chirac and Chirac conveyed to him the condemnation of the French leadership to this attack and France's readiness to rapidly and intensively move in order to halt this aggression.
Shaath expressed his conviction that Israel aims behind this brutal attack to deter the results of the Arab summit and the Arab initiative for peace. Shaath indicated that he had met with the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, who by his turn, contacted the US President George Bush concerning the explosive situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
