Arafat and the summit
Palestine-Regional, Politics, 3/27/2002

Nabil Abu Rudinah, the advisor for the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat said on Tuesday that Arafat will deliver a speech before the Arab summit which will start in Beirut today, wether he will attend or not. Abu Rudinah indicated that Arafat will ask during his speech unwavering Arab support for international legitimacy resolutions.

Abu Rudinah has not disclosed how Arafat will be able to deliver his speech from Ramullah if he will not be able from going to Beirut and did not indicate how the speech will be transmitted to the summit via satellites, live or if some one will deliver this speech on his behalf. Abu Rudinah indicated that all these are possible to take place.

He concluded as saying that Arafat's going out of Ramullah is a mere Palestinian decision that will be taken today ( Wednesday ) morning.
