Lebanese president confers with Egyptian foreign minister

The Lebanese President Emil Lahoud on Tuesday in Beirut discussed with the Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Maher the current preparations to convene the Arab summit in Beirut. In a statement following the meeting, the Egyptian foreign minister commended the preparations and arrangements made by Lebanon's people and government to host the summit and provide it a success, stressing the determination of the Arab leaders to ensure the success of this summit.
Maher warned against the difficult conditions taking place in the occupied Palestinian territories.
