US interests in jeopardy if Iraq came under attack
Egypt-USA, Politics, 3/26/2002
Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher warned that the US interests will be jeopardized if Washington embarks on dealing a military strike against Iraq or any other Arab states.
In statements published by the Bahraini newspaper "Gulf News" Monday, Maher said US Vice President Dick Cheney's recent tour of the Middle East region does not mean there is an approval to strike Iraq.
Egypt rejects launching us military strikes against Baghdad or any other Arab state, affirmed Maher.
