10,000 People Demonstrate in Paris in Support for the Palestinian People
Palestine-France, Politics, 3/25/2002

Some 10,000 people demonstrated Saturday afternoon in Paris, demanding a just and sustainable peace between Palestinians and Israelis, within two states (a Palestinian and an Israeli) living in secure and recognize borders. The demonstrators rallied in response to a call by some 50 associations, unions and political parties, including the International Federation for human rights, the French Jewish Union for Peace, and the association France-Palestine Solidarit?.

In reaction to the worsening of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the demonstrators demanded the implementation of United Nations relevant resolutions and Geneva conventions on Human rights. They also demanded a just peace in the Middle-East and the deployment of an international peace keeping force in Palestine.

The demonstration is the most important since the second Intifada.
