Mubarak gets American guarantees to attend the summit

The Qatari satellite station al-Jazira said on Sunday said that the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak had decided to attend the Beirut's Arab summit after he had received guarantees from the American administration on that the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat will attend the summit and ensure Arafat's return back to Ramullah, without any Israeli preconditions.
Al-Jazira added that Egypt has also received guarantees that a Libyan initiative which is expected to be proposed to the summit with the initiative of the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz.
Crown prince Abdullah delegated on Saturday Muhammad Bin Turkey to Libya to convey a message to the Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi relating to issues debated on the Arab summit and developments in the Arab states.
