Casablanca hosts 4th Arab song festival

The 4th Arab song festival of Casablanca is held this Mar.21-23 to promote the diversity and richness of the Arab musical legacy.
The opening day featured popular singing and dancing shows and a tribute was paid to Egyptian renowned singer and actress, Hoda Soltane. The festival also honored Tunisian singer Zahira Salem and Moroccan musician Abubakr Attalbi.
In addition to Moroccan singer, Rita Benabdeslam, who is making a comeback, Arab music fans also had a chance to attend concerts by popular singers as Mahid Al Kacem (Syria), Raed Mahmoud Kabha (Palestine), Adnane Chaouch (Tunisia), Alaa Abdelkhalek (Egypt) and Omar Bellat (Jordan).
Young artists are competing for the festival three prizes.
