Russian Foreign Minister in Morocco Next Month

Russian foreign minister, Igor Ivanov, will be visiting Morocco next April 2-4, a Russian official source said. At the bilateral level, the two foreign ministers will be exploring ways to increase economic cooperation.With US$ 360 million worth of Moroccan-Russian trade exchanges, Morocco stands as Russia's second largest trade partner in Africa.
Ivanov's visit, that follows the visit Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation Mohamed Benaissa paid to Moscow last January, will give the two officials a new opportunity to consult on regional and international issues, particularly the situation in the Middle East and in the Gulf region.
