Euro-mediterranean trade in figures

In 2001 the EU conducted 7.1% of its total external trade with the Mediterranean Partners. Between 1995 (inception of the Barcelona Process) and 2001 EU imports from the Partners grew by 110% whereas EU imports from the Partners rose by 49%.
Together Turkey, Israel, and Algeria last year accounted for more than 60% of EU-Mediterranean trade while among EU Member States Germany, France, and Italy also made up 60% of that trade.
