Some 55 Israelis killed, wounded in a Palestinian operation in Jerusalem

A meeting will be held on Monday between the US Vice President Dick Cheney and the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat in Cairo, according to a statement made on Thursday by the chairman of the Palestinian security department in the West Bank Jibril al-Rajoub.
Meantime, Israel has canceled a security meeting which was due on Thursday following a "martyrdom" operation. The security meeting which ended on midnight Wednesday failed to reach a cease fire agreement at a time the Israeli forces continued storming Palestinian cities.
In retaliation to the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the Palestinian Intifada youths on Thursday carried out a new "suicide " operation in "King George Street" in Jerusalem and this resulted in killing three Israelis and wounding more than 51 others many of them are in critical health conditions.
In a statement "al-Aqsa martyrs group" claimed responsibility for this operation which was carried out by the Palestinian Muhammad Hashayesh from Tallousa village, Nablus district.
The Israeli radio said that the Israeli defense minister Benjamin Bin Aliazer is following up the situation from all its security and political aspects.
The secretary of the Fatah movement in the West Bank said that this operation falls in the context of the Palestinian retaliation to the Israeli breaking in operations carried out on Thursday morning by the Israeli forces in various parts of the Palestinian territories. Barghouthi called on all Palestinian groups to found a front for the Palestinian national resistance in order to revitalize the Intifada which is now in its 18th month.
The Israeli government has reinforced its forces in the cities of the West Bank and Gaza and were put on a state of alert for fears of having Palestinian operations against the Israeli army.
As the tripartite security meeting which ended on Wednesday after midnight failed, the Israeli forces on Thursday at dawn broke into al-Yamoun village near Jenin in the West Bank and arrested 20 Palestinians.
A Palestinian source said that the Israeli forces also arrested one Palestinian from "Force no 17" which is in charge of the guarding the chairman of the Palestinian Authority in Tammoun village near Nablus during a storming of the said village.
Israeli military sources admitted that the large scale inspection operations carried out by the Israeli army in the Palestinians villages and towns since Wednesday will continue. The Israeli forces demolished on Thursday morning two Palestinian houses in occupied Jerusalem and one Palestinian Child was shot to death during an incursion operation by the Israeli forces for tens of meters in the territories in Rafah, Gaza. The director of Rafah hospital Doctor Ali Mousa said that the female child Reiham Husam ( 4 year old) was killed by a "heavy bullet" in her head while she was in front of her family's house in al-Barazil camp in Rafah, adding that two other Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli bullets.
Moreover, Palestinians on Thursday found the corpse of a Palestinian who died of his wounds two days before near Deir al-Balah and was left bleeding to death by the Israeli forces.
A Palestinian source said that the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat will head next Sunday to Cairo to meet with the US Vice President Dick Cheney and then to Spain and to Beirut to attend the Arab summit.
