Russian- Iraqi joint committee concludes constructive results

The Iraqi minister of oil Amer Rasheed has described the results of the fourth meeting of the Russian- Iraqi joint committee on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation which concluded its works in Moscow on Wednesday as constructive.

In a pre-departure statement in Moscow before he leading Moscow on Wednesday Rasheed indicated complete understanding between Moscow and Baghdad towards all issues. He stressed that Iraq has the political will to develop relations with Russia and that long term prospects were defined to expand relations between the two countries during the session of the said meeting and were ratified.

The Iraqi minister added that it was agreed with the Russian side to sign in Baghdad in next April a long- term economic cooperation program between Russia and Iraq. He explained that this program includes 67 projects in the areas of oil, gas, transport, telecommunications, irrigation, agriculture and others.
