Al-Assad meets with Saudi foreign minister

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday received the Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal.
The meeting was attended by the deputy premier and foreign minister Farouk al-Shara and the Saudi ambassador in Damascus.
Discussions dealt with latest developments in the region, current contacts among the Arab states and the ideas proposed by the Saudi crown prince Abdullah in preparations to convene the next Arab summit in Beirut.
On Tuesday afternoon, President al-Assad received the Lebanese minister of state Talal Arsalaan. Discussions dealt with brotherly relations between the two sisterly countries.
