Syria- Egypt summit in Cairo on Wednesday

The Orient radio correspondent quoted Arab diplomatic sources in Cairo as saying that the Egyptian, Jordanian and Egyptian- Saudi talks will center on crystallizing the Saudi initiative so as to have it win an Arab unanimity during the Beirut Arab summit.
The sources added that these talks deal with reaching a special Arab position concerning the Iraqi file so as to avoid it an expected American military strike.
The sources also added that next Wednesday will be the date for the expected summit in Cairo between President Hosni Mubarak and the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, noting that this summit will discuss latest developments in the region and the Saudi initiative as well as Beirut's summit arrangements.
