Results of presidential elections in Comoros

The electoral committee in the Greater Comoros islands on Monday announced the final results of the first presidential elections which indicate that colonel Othman Ghazali ranks in the first place.
News reports said the Col. Ghazali who has been in power in Moroni island since the military coupe which took place in April 1999 gained 39.8% of the votes.
The wealthy Col. Mahmoud Maradabi came second with 15.60% of the votes and third came Saeed Ali Kamal who descends from the princes dynasty with 10.68 % of the votes.
These first three winners will discuss the final presidential elections expected to be held on April 14, which will be held at the level of all the federation of Comoros which includes the greater Comoros Island, Mohelli and Anjwan.
