Japanese feminist delegation lauds Mrs. Mubarak's role

A visiting Japanese feminist delegation Sunday lauded the great role of Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, Chairperson of the Technical Advisory committee of the National Childhood and Motherhood Council, and the progress achieved as a result of her sincere efforts to mobilize all energies of society to serve women and children.
Within the framework of cooperation between Egypt and Japan and the exchange of experience between them, the Council arranged a workshop under the supervision of ambassador Mushira Khattab, Secretary General of the Council, in collaboration with the Japanese feminist delegation.
The Japanese delegation gave a picture of Japanese experience in the field of the development of education and the position of women in Japan.
Discussions dealt with achievements realized in the field of the welfare of children and women in the region by President Mubarak.
The two sides also probed fields of cooperation between Egypt and Japan and means of enhancing this cooperation.
Meanwhile, the Japanese Embassy in Cairo concluded Japan Festival 2001 on the occasion of inaugurating Mubarak-peace bridge over Suez Canal.
The festival was under the auspices of Egypt -Japan friendship society.
The Egyptian and Japanese football teams under 23 will play a match today in Al-Ismailia.
