Palestinian authority welcomes UN resolution 1397

The Palestinian Authority on Saturday welcomed the statements made by the European Union which calls for the implementation of the UN Security Council no. 1397 and considered it as important. Nabil Abu Rudinah, the advisor of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat called for the need that the international community should work to implement this resolution.
He stressed that the foundation of the Palestinian state is the only way to attaining security, peace and stability in the region.
