Korea ready to help Morocco further world cup ambitions
Morocco-South Korea, Economics, 3/16/2002

South Korea has suggested to help Morocco further its ambitions to host the world cup of 2010, Korean news agency (YONHAP) reported, quoting Korean speaker, Lee Man-Sup, currently on a visit to Morocco.

Lee asked the Moroccan leaders to favorably consider South Korean participation in the planned construction of three soccer stadiums in the country, which is vying to host the 2010 World Cup. Lee also asked for Moroccan support in South Korea's bid for the 2010 World Expo and suggested Seoul would cooperate with the North African country to further its World Cup ambitions.

Lee is visiting Morocco to attend the 107th general meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which opens Sunday in the Moroccan southern city of Marrakesh.
