Morocco-Iraq, Politics, 3/14/2002
Morocco on Wednesday said military action against Iraq is not necessary and called for peace efforts instead.
"we do not believe that military action is necessary. we should be concentrating on peace efforts instead," Moroccan foreign affairs and cooperation minister, Mohamed Benaissa, told the British The Times daily.
"We believe that all issues can be resolved through dialogue. the problem of Iraq should be dealt with by the United Nations," he insisted.
Benaissa is currently in London where he handed Prime Minister Tony Blair a message from King Mohammed VI.
