Arab Artists Union board meeting

The Arab Writers Union (AWU) general assembly, on Sunday reelected Egypt's Fawzi Fahmi president of the union, Sudanese artist, Ali Mehdi, secretary general, and Egyptian film-maker, Kamal Sheikh, treasurer.
The AWU's general assembly and executive board examined a number of issues related to the union's activities, its action plan for the coming years and the amendments to be made to its status.
