Message to Arab summit: it is time to restore the Arab nation's international position

A statement by a group of Arab intellectuals read: Your excellencies, majesty, the Arab kings, Presidents and princes. In this phase in which the Arab League is being held, our Arab nation and its surrounding are witnessing fundamental changes which are in reality part of greater world changes which started with the collapse of the old world system.

Though the traits of the new order is not clear yet and are not completed yet, the two main traits of this system are: At the economic level, the foundation of greater economic blocs, in one part of the world in which amazing and new innovations have been made in all fields of sciences to develop economic potentials and to margin countries and peoples on the other side of this world. Doubtless, you realize that the Arab nation, with its current status, falls on the other part of this world.

At the geo-political level: the collapse of the international system which was founded after the two world wars, it had left its traces on the regional regimes all and this will be conducive to redrawing the map of these regimes and their balances, rather the political geography.

The statement added that during the past ten years, no Arab summit was dedicated to discuss these greater international changes and its reflections on "us" or to draw an Arab strategy even within the minimum rate of solidarity to withstand these challenges or to adapt them to serve the interests of the Arab nation and its interests.

The statement added that neglecting the issues indicated above and dropping it from your work agenda, is not because not recognizing its consequences, rather because of the absence of the political will and the little courage of the official Arab regimes to be up to the standard of challenges.

The statement urged the Arab Kings and leaders to have their voice heard at the international community, so as the Arab national would restore back its due role in the world among effective countries in history. It urged that it is right time now to restore back the Arab will, the Arab democracy and the free Arab decision.
