France denounces Israeli practices, calls for int'l observers
Palestine-France, Politics, 3/13/2002
France expressed its deep concern and dismay for the persistent Israeli armed aggressions against the Palestinians.
French Foreign Ministry spokesman, Bernard Valero, said the continuation of raids by the Israeli military on the Palestinians is unjustifiable, especially under their tragic consequences and increasing number of victims.
"We feel so worried about the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, and denounce interruption with human relief work" he said, adding that Israel has to secure free movement and protection for ambulances and relief workers. Valero reaffirmed France support to the proposal of dispatching international observers to the region.
