Fahd, Berlskony discuss in Jeddah the Arab- Israeli conflict

The Saudi news agency said that the Italian prime minister Silvio Berleskony held in Jeddah on Tuesday talks with the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz talks concerning the Arab - Israeli conflict.

The agency added giving no details that "during the discussions the two sides reviewed the developments of conditions in the Middle East especially the Palestinian question and the acts of killing and destruction committed against the Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces as well as international developments."

Political sources in Italy said that the Italian prime minister, who arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday in an official visit which lasts for two days might promote for his special initiative for peace in the region.

In February this year, the Italian prime minister proposed a peace plan similar to the American "Marshal plan" for Europe following the second world war.
