Seven african atlantic countries meet in Nouakchott on fisheries

The coordination committee of the sub-regional commission on fisheries, mustering Seven African countries, bordering the Atlantic, is holding its 15th session in Nouakchott.
The agenda of the meeting, that started proceedings Monday, is topped by the preservation of sea resources and their protection against looting, organizers said.
Participants will also probe ways to secure sustained development to the sector.
The sub-regional commission musters Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Mauritania, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
