French group seeks to ban a party for the Israeli army
Israel-France, Politics, 3/12/2002

A French group opposing the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories has condemned on Monday hosting a music concert to honor the Israeli army in Paris and said it seeks to convince the French government of prevent this concert.

The French group of coordinating calls for peace in the Middle East has sent an appeal bearing the signature of 3,000 persons to the French government asking for preventing this concert which, the group said, is not in compliance with the escalation of blood-shed in the Middle East.

The chairperson of the group Olivia Zeimour said:" It is a shame that France will host a music concert to support the morale of the Israeli army at the time when the Israeli government is committing massacres against the Palestinians."
