An attack at an Israeli position in al-Ghajar
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 3/12/2002

An Israeli military source in Kreyat Shemona ( north occupied Palestine) said that gunmen on Monday evening attacked from the side of the Lebanese border an Israeli position in the surrounding of al- Ghajar town and were seen fleeing after exchanging fire with the soldiers of the position towards the Lebanese borders.

The source which refused to be identified said that one of the two attackers was expectedly wounded, adding that no casualties were reported among the elements of the position. While the Israeli army refused to comment officially on the attack, sources in the Lebanese Hizbullah party denied any connection by their side to the incident.

The attack was preceded by flying of the Israeli warplanes in the airspace of the area where they were intercepted by the "Islamic resistance" anti airplanes means.
