US determination to topple the Iraqi regime
Iraq-USA, Politics, 3/12/2002
The Saudi daily al-Watan issued on Monday said that the US Vice President Dick Cheney will inform the Arab leaders with whom he will meet during his current tour to the region of a clear and strong message stressing that the administration of President George Bush is persistent to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein, whatsoever the criticism and objections to be addressed to this administration to this end.
The paper added quoting well-informed American and European diplomatic sources that Cheney will confirm during his talks with the officials of the countries he will visit that the US administration is ultimately determined and this time very serious to change the regime of Saddam Hussein, because the mass destruction weapons it owns are more dangerous than the traditional "terrorist" operations.
The sources added that the Bush administration considers that containing Iraq is no more enough to protect the region and the American vital interests from Saddam Hussein's mistakes, and it wants to find out a fundamental solution for that and therefore it took the decision to change the Iraqi regime. A decision which will be implemented regardless to the position of other countries concerned with this matter.
