Edeid, Tunisian PM probe upping bilateral trade to $ 300 m

Meetings of the joint Egyptian-Tunisian committee start in Cairo Tuesday under the co-chairmanship of Prime Minister Atef Ebeid and his Tunisian opposite number Mohamed Al-Ghanoushi.
The committee, in its two-day meetings, will discuss expanding areas of bilateral economic and trade cooperation to up trade volume to $ 300 million by 2003.
Electricity Minister Hassan Yunis discussed on Sunday with Tunisian Industry and Electricity Minister Monsef Bin Abdullah promoting cooperation in the power field.
The two sides discussed what has been achieved regarding the power linkage project between Arab Maghreb countries and the power project between Tunisia and Libya.
