Mofaz: we killed 200 Palestinians, arrested 1200 Palestinians

The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday continued their brutal acts against the Palestinian people amid assertions made by the Israeli prime minister Shaoul Mofaz that the war against the Palestinians will continue.

The Israeli Apache and F-16 planes bombarded al-Sudaneyah area in Gaza and Rafa and its tanks incurred into al-Sultan camp to the west of Rafah and destroyed several houses. Seven Israelis were wounded in the clashes with the invading forces.

The Palestinian youth Samer Eweis was killed inside his car in Jenin when he was targeted by one of the Israeli planes missiles on Ramullah road. Five Palestinians were killed by the Israeli bullets, two of them in Jabal al-Mukabber to the east of Jerusalem and other two near al-Raam check-point to the north of Jerusalem and the fifth near Natsareim settlement in Gaza. The Palestinian youth Mahmoud Ghanem ( 13 year old) was killed at an Israeli check-point near Sarra village, Nablus.

The Palestinians challenges the Israeli forces near "Eiloun Morieh" settlement in Nablus and this resulted in killing one Palestinian police man Hamed Omran and wounding of other five.

The Palestinian Intifada youths opened fire at an Israeli military force upon running on the road between Houmesh and Sanour settlement and others opened fire at Shadeima camp in Bethlehem. The Palestinian also challenged the Israeli force which stormed into Beitonia and strong clashes took place in Hreik area near Ramullah and near Natsareim settlement during which two Israeli soldiers were wounded after they were knifed by a Palestinian youth who was killed later by the Israeli bullets.

Meantime, the territories of 1948 of al-Nasera, Sakhnin, Um al-Fahem witnessed a general strike in solidarity with their brothers in the west bank and Gaza and participants in the strike held Sharon responsible for the organized terrorism against the Palestinians.

News reports said that a state of horror and disorder prevailed the Israeli circles following Nathania and Jerusalem suicide operations by the Palestinians which resulted in killing 14 Israelis and wounding 150. The reports said that false warning were heard in Jerusalem because of the total state of illusion controlling the Israelis.

Nevertheless, the mini Israeli Cabinet decided to continue the military aggression. The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon said during the meeting that he is determined to continue the war against the Palestinians. He called on members of his government to support his position to this effect.

Meantime, the Israeli army chief of staff Shaoul Mofaz stressed that the attacks against the Palestinians will continue from land, sea and air, admitting that his forces killed during the few past days more than 200 Palestinians and arrested more than 1200.

For his part, the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres stressed the need that Israel should use the military force beside any dialogue to be held with the Palestinians. He said that a political proposal should be made to the Palestinians based on three principles. The first is to explain that Israel has no desire to control the Palestinians, secondly is to draw the main outlines for the permanent situation and thirdly to negotiate on other matters which will stay a matter of difference.
