Algerian minister postpones visit to Morocco
Morocco-Algeria, Politics, 3/11/2002

A visit which was presumed to be held on Sunday to Morocco by the Algerian minister of commerce on top of a delegation representing Algerian businessmen was postponed. The postponement was made at the last moment.

The Moroccan daily al-Jomhour quoted well-informed sources as saying that the postponement of the visit is linked to the deteriorated relations between the two states because of the recent stances made by Algeria concerning the Sahara issue.

However, the state secretary at the Moroccan foreign ministry al-Tayeb al Fasi al-Fahri denied that and said in an exclusive statement to the paper that the visit was postponed because of matters relating to the agenda and has nothing to do to the deterioration of relations between the two states and that the visit will be made, but in a later time.
