Sudanese president marries widow of former minister

A wedding ceremony for the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir and Mrs. Widad Ba Baker Omar, widow of the former Sudanese minister of state for defense Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Shamd Eddine was held on Thursday evening at al-Shaheed mosque in Khartoum.
The ceremony was attended by high ranking Sudanese state officials, and others representing the national congress party and leaderships of the Sudanese army and armed forces.
Worthy mentioning that the Sudanese President is married to Mrs Fatemah Khaled but has no children from her.
At the end of the ceremony the advisor of the Sudanese President for "Qualification" affairs Ahmad Ali al-Imam announced that the coming days will witness a large rally for " weddings of widows."
