US source: Bush refused Mubarak's request to interfere in the region

The United Arab Emirates UAE daily al-Itihad issued on Thursday quoted an unidentified US official source saying that the US President George Bush did not give the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak more than promises and he did not abide his government to any serious move into the ME region and refused the request raised by the Mubarak to this effect.
The source told the paper that the US President told Mubarak that his administration is not concerned to pressure Israel to halt its oppression against the Palestinian people.
