Saudi Arabia accepts to introduce amendments to Abdullah's initiative

The Saudi daily al-Watan issued on Thursday said, according to well-informed Palestinian sources, that Saudi Arabia has agreed with the Palestinian Authority to introduce necessary amendments into the initiative of the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz in order to establish peace in the region.
The paper added that the Saudi crown prince told the Palestinian official in charge of planning at the Palestinian Authority Nabil Shaath during his recent visit to Jeddah that Saudi Arabia does not oppose introducing Palestinian proposals to the initiative so as to be comprehensive in order to solve the Arab- Israeli conflict.
The paper said that among the elements the Palestinians want to introduce to the initiative is the right of the return for the Palestinian refugees and dismantling the Israeli settlements.
