Israeli foreign ministers contacts Arafat

The Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres on Wednesday evening made a telephone call with the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat, just few minutes after the Israeli Apache planes bombarded Palestinian positions and targets near Arafat's office in Ramullah.
The Israeli radio said that Peres informed Arafat that he is working for easing down the condition and halting the Israeli raids at his offices.
On Wednesday evening the Israeli helicopters bombarded Arafat's office in Ramullah while he was meeting with the EU- ME peace special envoy Miguel Moratinos.
