Two Moroccan parties create socialist alliance

The Party for Progress and Socialism (PPS) and the Socialist Democratic Party (PSD) on Tuesday in Morocco proclaimed a Socialist Alliance.
The act creating the Alliance was signed by PSD secretary general, Issa Ouardighi, and by Abdelouahed Souhail, on Behalf of PPS secretary general, Ismail Alaoui.
The move is meant to enhance coordination between the two parties which will maintain their own and independent structures and internal laws.
Both PPS and PSD are represented in the center-left coalition government led by socialist Prime Minister, Abderrahmane Youssoufi.
PPS is member of the democratic koutla (Arabic name for bloc), which also musters the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, the Istiqlal Party and the Organization for Democratic and Popular Action.
