Regional tv channel to be launched shortly in Laayoune

A new regional TV station will be launched in the coming days in the city of Laayoune, technical staff told MAP.
TV-Al Massira will beam to the southern provinces programs matching the local cultural features. In the beginning, it will operate daily broadcasts of 2 to 3 hours.
In addition to a staff of journalists, technicians and administrators, the TV station is equipped with a ground station broadcasting via Eutelsat satellite and four other ground stations in Laayoune, Smara, Boujdour and Dakhla.
