Inter- tribal clashes in Yemen

Four persons were killed while other ten were wounded in clashes erupted over differences of a water well between two tribes the province of "Aab" which is 130 Km to the south of the capital Sanaa.
A Yemeni police official said that this has war taking place since one year over a well for drinking water between al-Bahm and al-Tweiti tribes, noting that the clashes in which the two sides used all types of light and intermediate weapons resulted in burning Ze al-Houd village which belongs to an area where the well under disputes is situated.
Worthy mentioning that armed clashes between tribes are very common in Yemen which is characterized by a tribal structure. Number of weapons carried out by the Yemeni civilians is estimate at more than 60 million pieces at an average of three pieces for every citizen.
