Pharaonic queen statue unearthed in Tel Basta temple

The Egyptian-German archaeological mission working in Alsharqiya governorate unearthed an important find inside the Tel Basta temple of king RamsesII.
The find is a large granite statue that is believed to be of a pharaonic queen like the Meret-Amon statue unearthed in Akhmim, Sohag.
Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni will hold a press conference to announce details of the Find with Lower Egypt Antiquities Director Mohammed Abdel-Maqsoud attending.
