Solana calls for breaking the siege tightening Arafat

The foreign relations official at the European Union EU Javier Solana has called for breaking the Israeli siege imposed on the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat in Ramullah.
The Hebrew- language Israeli radio quoted Solana as saying to the Spanish TV station on Monday that it is very necessary to enable Arafat to attend the Arab summit conference which will be held in Beirut after three weeks because of the importance of the decisions expected to be concluded by the conferences especially in regard to the Middle East question.
