Al-Tureiki meets with Sudanese, Egyptian ministers

The secretary of the Libyan people's general committee for African unity Ali Abdul Salaam al-Tureiki on Saturday evening in Tripoli discussed with both the Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman Ismael and the chairman of the Sudanese Ummah party al-Sadeq al-Mahdi latest developments concerning the implementation of items of the Libyan- Egyptian initiative in order to achieve the Sudanese national reconciliation and contacts and preparations relating to convening the Sudanese national congress.
Both Ismael and al-Mahdi renewed the commitment of the Sudanese government and the al-Ummah party to the Egyptian- Libyan initiative in being the most to comprehensive to the Sudanese reality. They also expressed readiness to work in order to convene the Sudanese national congress.
On the other hand, al-Tureiki discussed on Saturday with the Egyptian minister of state for foreign affairs Faeza Abu al- Najjar issues debated at the meeting of the foreign ministers of the coast and desert states coalition which started its deliberations in Tripoli on Sunday.
Discussions dealt with Arab, regional and international issues of mutual concern.
