Egypt has biggest share of direct Dutch investment report

Egypt ranks the first as regards its share of the direct Dutch investments in the Arab states, according to a report by the Trade Representation Agency on Thursday.
The volume of Dutch investments in Egypt reached 986 million euros at the end of 2000, up by 59 percent from the previous year, according to the report handed to Foreign Trade Minister Youssef Boutros Ghali.
The report said Egypt came second after Nigeria in luring the direct Dutch investments at the African level.
The report added that the Dutch government puts airports, natural gas, environment protection, tourism and railways on the top of its investment priorities.
