Moroccan and French labor ministers step up cooperation

Morocco's minister of employment, vocational training, social development and solidarity, Abbas El Fassi and French peer, Elizabeth Guigou, agreed here on Friday to step up their cooperation.
In a declaration signed Friday, Morocco and France agreed to set up a work group to study possibilities of encouraging training activities in health matters in a bid to consolidate bilateral human, technical and economic ties.
The two departments which started in 2001 joint cooperation programs in labor, vocational training and social fields hailed the contribution brought by experts in the creation of a Moroccan employment promotion agency (ANAPEC) and in the modernization and development of vocational training.
The new program includes 19 projects dealing with backing ANAPEC development, improving training in tourism and hotel industry, promoting training in the new information and communication technologies and supporting remote vocational training.
