Prince Moulay Rachid performs Omra
Morocco-Saudi Arabia, Local, 3/1/2002

Morocco's Prince Moulay Rachid, younger brother of King Mohammed VI, who is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia, performed Thursday evening in Mekka the Omra, minor pilgrimage.

Prince Moulay Rachid had earlier in the day visited Medine, where he performed prayers at the Masjid Annabaoui Acharif and prayed over the tomb of the Prophet.

This Friday, Prince Moulay Rachid is visiting the Saudi southern city of Abha before ending his visit to Saudi Arabia.

Prince Moulay Rachid arrived in Saudi Arabia Thursday coming from Bahrain where he conveyed to King Hamad Ben Aissa Al-Khalifa congratulations of King Mohammed VI on the proclamation of constitutional monarchy in his country and completion of constitutional institutions.

Prince Moulay Rachid is accompanied by Charif Moulay Youssef Alaoui and by ministers of agriculture and of human rights, Isma?l Alaoui and Mohamed Aujjar.
