King Mohammed backs Saudi peace initiative
Morocco-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 3/1/2002

Morocco's King Mohammed VI had Thursday phone talks with the heir apparent of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdallah ibn Abdelaziz, during which the sovereign voiced Morocco's backing to the Saudi initiative, calling for Israel's withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories, in compliance with relevant UN resolutions, in exchange for total normalization between Arab states and Israel.

Morocco had called the involved parties to welcome this initiative that is likely to lead to a fair, comprehensive and lasting settlement to the Middle East conflict.
