Lahoud hopes summit will cling to comprehensive solution

The Lebanese President Emil Lahoud has expressed his hope that the next Arab summit that the next Arab summit will conclude resolutions that will support the Arab position that provides for the realization of a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, according to principles set by the Madrid conference, according to UN resolutions concerned.
During his meeting on Thursday with the speaker of the Romanian parliament and members of the accompanying delegation, the Lebanese president stressed the right of the Palestinian refugees to return back to their country and to establish their own state with Jerusalem as a capital.
He stressed that the continued tense condition in the occupied Palestinian territories as a result of the continued Israeli aggressions will make things more complex and foil efforts made to revive the peace process in the Middle east.
For his part, the speaker of the Romanian parliament stressed his country's commitment to working for the realization of a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle east.
The Lebanese President warned against Israel's using of the incidents of September 11 to serve its aims to defaming Arabs and Muslims.
Meantime, and during his meeting with the chairman of the foreign affairs committee at the Czech parliament, President Lahoud stressed that pressures made on Lebanon will not force it to change its convictions, unwavering rights and its right to restore back its occupied lands.
He added that the change made on the European attitude towards the ME meets with the peace loving states in advocating just and comprehensive peace and returning back to what was agreed upon at Madrid conference.
He expressed his hope that resolutions to be concluded by the coming Beirut's summit will be up to the ambitions of the Arab states.
